Kitchen-first, not calorie-first

The app that cooks your fridge empty.

Photograph your kitchen. ShredPlate is the only app that knows what is actually in it — and turns that into a week of food you will really cook, and a bin you do not have to fill.

How it works

One photo in. A week of food out.

  1. 01

    Photograph your kitchen

Open the fridge, take one photo. The scan reads the shelf and comes back with a list you correct in a few taps — not a form you fill in.

  2. 02

    Your pantry becomes real state

What you confirm is stored, and it stays stored. Cook something and the ingredients come back out. This is the part the photo-only apps do not have and the manual apps make unbearable.

  3. 03

A week planned around one cook-up

The planner knows a roast tray on Sunday is three dinners, not one. It schedules the cooking, not just the eating — and it plans from what you already own first.

  4. 04

A bin you do not have to fill

Things get used before they turn. The grocery list only asks for the gap between the plan and the shelf.

The bin problem

German households bin 74.5 kg of food per person, every year.

That is roughly €372 a person, thrown away — not because people are careless, but because nothing keeps track of what is already in the fridge. Move the slider.

Binned per year
149 kg
That is worth
€744

You are throwing away about €62 a month in food you already bought.

ShredPlate costs €3.33 a month on the yearly plan.

19× the price, in food alone

74.5 kg/person/year: Umweltbundesamt household food-waste data. Value at ≈€5/kg replacement cost. Your own kitchen will differ — that is rather the point of measuring it.

What ShredPlate is not

Being useful means being one thing properly. Three things we deliberately do not compete on:

Not a calorie tracker

Macros are computed and shown because you asked for a plan — not because logging is the product. If you want a logging app, there are excellent ones.

Not a chatbot

You can ask it things, but a chat window is not a kitchen. Once the fridge is involved, state beats conversation.

Not a recipe feed

An infinite scroll of recipes you own no ingredients for is how every recipe app dies. We start from your shelf.

Where the numbers come from

AI recognises your food. USDA data does the maths.

We never let a language model invent a calorie count. Recipes come back from the model with no nutrition attached — the macros are calculated afterwards from the USDA food table, one ingredient at a time.

The AI does

Recognise what is in the photo. Suggest what to cook. Sequence the week so one cook-up feeds three days.

The AI never does

Invent a number. Every calorie and gram of protein is computed from USDA food data, ingredient by ingredient.

Price

One price. The same one everywhere.

No countdown, no spin-the-wheel discount, no seven tiers to compare. This is what it costs on the website and it is what it costs in the app store.

€39.99 / year

That is €3.33 a month, billed once a year.

14 days free. No card to start. Cancel in two taps.

  • Unlimited kitchen scans
  • Persistent pantry that survives cooking
  • Batch-cook-aware week planning
  • Grocery list built from the gap, not from scratch
  • USDA-computed macros on every recipe
  • Household sharing — everyone, every plan

Open the fridge. Take one photo.

That is the entire setup. Everything after it — the plan, the list, the macros — comes out of what is already on your shelf.
